About

One week a year, the whole country celebrates dogs.

DogWeek.com is the modern home of National Dog Week — and a year-round guide to the events, rescues, and everyday joy of life with a dog.

A celebration since 1928

National Dog Week was founded in 1928 by Captain Will Judy to promote responsible, loving dog ownership.

Nearly a century later, that spirit is alive and well — but scattered. Adoption fairs, group hikes, fundraisers, and parades happen in every city, yet there’s never been one joyful place to find them, celebrate together, and count down to the big week. That’s what we’re building.

Dog Week is part of the Puppreneur family of products — a small studio building delightful things for dogs and the people who love them. Learn more at puppreneur.com.

What we believe

  • Every dog deserves a spotlight. From shelter pups to senior dogs, the wall is for all of them.
  • Every day is a dog day. We celebrate dogs all year long, building to one unforgettable week each September.
  • Local first. The best dog moments happen in your neighborhood — so discovery starts with your city.

Hi, I’m Jorge

I’m a product designer by trade, and a lifelong dog parent by heart. DogWeek.com is one of my passion projects — the kind of thing I build because I can’t not build it. Anything that grows the awareness of how genuinely awesome dogs are, how we should care for them, and how much they give back when we bring them into our lives, I’m in.

Two beliefs guide everything here: adopt when you can, and give your dog your very best — your time, your patience, the good walks, the better days. And here’s what I’ve come to know: I’m not alone in this. There are people like you all over the world who feel exactly the same about their dogs. That’s the whole purpose of celebrating this week — to bring us together, one week a year, as a community that believes in giving dogs the best life we possibly can.

One of my dreams is a property with a huge yard — room for every dog I could possibly imagine to run, play, and just enjoy their time, cared for the way every dog deserves. Until then, DogWeek.com is how I bring a little of that to everyone’s neighborhood.
